The Mishkan: Yahwah’s Pattern for a Sacred Home

Section 4 of 5

Section 04

III. Study Outline

  • A. The Perfect Puzzle
  • Scripture: Exodus 25:8-9, Exodus 25:40 .
  • Lesson: Imagine building the coolest Lego set ever, but the instructions came directly from the King of the Universe! . Yahwah told Moses exactly how many loops, hooks, and boards to use . He didn't want 'man-made' ideas; He wanted His 'Heavenly Pattern' followed perfectly . This shows us that Yahwah cares about the little things in our lives, too! .
  • B. A Home with Wheels (and Poles!)
  • Scripture: Exodus 25:12-15 .
  • Lesson: The Mishkan wasn't a heavy stone building; it was a beautiful tent with poles so the people could carry it wherever they went . Yahwah didn't want to be stuck in one city; He wanted to travel with His children! . This teaches us that the Almighty wants to be part of our whole day, no matter where we go .
  • C. Beautiful on the Inside
  • Scripture: Exodus 26:1-14 .
  • Lesson: On the outside, the Mishkan looked like a plain tent covered in skins . But on the inside, it was filled with gold, blue, purple, and scarlet! . This is a secret lesson: People might look at us and see someone ordinary, but if we follow Yahwah’s Word, we are filled with His golden glory on the inside .
  • D. When the 'Business' Moved In
  • Scripture: Matthew 21:12-13 .
  • Lesson: Many years later, the leaders built big stone buildings called Temples . Instead of focusing on Yahwah’s 'Pattern,' they started using the building to make money . They turned a place of prayer into a 'den of thieves.' . This made Yahushua very sad because they were blocking people from getting close to the Father .
  • E. You are the New Tent!
  • Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19 .
  • Lesson: Yahushua showed us that Yahwah doesn't want to live in a building made of stone anymore . He wants to live in us! . Just like the Mishkan had to be built exactly right, we should try to live our lives exactly the way the Word tells us, so we can be a clean and happy home for His Spirit .
